ANBU ambitions are Born [training]

Today, like every other day, the young Uzumaki had decided to take the day to train, to become a more proficient ninja. He was deciding on merely procrastinating on the decision to do so, but then he figured he'd worry about the consequences of taking a day off in the future. Today was just too nice a day to waste. Tsuki decided to change up his training and to learn something different and new, so he reaches into one of his pocket’s with his right hand, remembering about a technique created by an Uzumaki. He grabs the scroll that is in the pocket, quickly pulls it out, opens it and begins to read it. His mother had got the scroll some time ago from her father, written on the scroll is a long list of Uzumaki jutsus both new and old. Tsuki reads down the scroll looking for something new to learn and reaches a section that explains techniques regarding becoming what is now known as a sensor. The Uzumaki begins to read about what exactly a sensor is and reads that a senor is a ninja who is capable of detecting the presence of other people through their chakra.

Tsuki becomes very intrigued by this and continues to read on about becoming a sensor and the abilities a sensor has with vast training. He reads of the abilities of sensors to identify chakra and potentially a ninjas signature far beyond humans average senses. However Sensors are the "bloodhounds" of the world using their unique ability to isolate and track whomever they choose. As Tsuki reads this he doesn’t find being a “bloodhound” to be a bad thing and continues reading becoming very interested in becoming a sensor.

The young red head reads that sensors are overtly fragile to different chakra signatures. With over an extensive amount of time complimented with thorough training they can track others from an uncanny distance. Sensors also possess the ability to distinguish an animal or shinobi with their divine ability. When Tsuki finishes reading this he becomes determined to become a sensor and starts by reading about the basic technique that is required to learn more sensor jutsu. Tsuki begins to read about the jutsu that his mother was proficient in utilizing, known as the “Mind's Eye of the Kagura.”

Tsuki reads that the jutsu is done by the user closing their physical eyes and opening their mind's eye in order to see the advanced chakra systems around them. However with enough training sensors no longer need to close their eyes in order to access their mind's eye. It also claims that the more training the user has under their belts, the more powerful the user’s ability becomes, the better chance one has to sense stronger chakra signatures. Lastly the basic range of this jutsu is minimal, however with training the user can extend this distance a vast range.

After reading all this Tsuki takes time to memorize it, he does this by reading it over and over until he can recite it by heart. Once he does memorize it, he chooses to begin his training on the basic skill of sensory technique and closes the scroll in his hands and places it back into his flank jacket pocket with his right hand. Once the scroll is safely in his pocket, the young Uzumaki pulls his right hand out of his pocket and closes his eyes and begins to meditate on trying to sense his environment. This requires a decent amount of concentration and chakra to activate and even when he does he doesn’t even see anything.

Tsuki then realizes that to truly train in his sensor training he needs to be around other real people instead of training alone like he normally does. Standing before a dune on the training grounds, he did indeed close his eyes and attempted to stretch out with his "sensing capabilities", the ethereal spirit described as being ones "true consciousness.” His eyes shut, he also tried to ignore the sounds of the desert winds and sun steam in the background, he ignored the heated and dry feeling against his skin, the fragrance of desert salts and the taste of minerals upon his lips. Attempting to rid himself of all of these worldly sensations, he would seek to become a singularity and stand alone and in unison to the universe itself; and then he could feel it.

Like a nagging sensation in the back of his mind, he could feel something. Like an already present memory, simply being recalled, he could tell that there was something moving at the front of the Training Ground. ‘A Genin, perhaps?’ Tsuki thought, he could tell it wasn’t other ranks because he wouldn’t be able to sense them moving around behind him. It was weak, and in no way perfected but he could feel them there, meaning they must not be that trained in suppressing their chakra. He could also feel something else now - lots of other chakra signatures. 15 to 20 in fact, and most of them under his skill level. It took a moment of thought before he came to realize this was a classroom of academy students. He was not only sensing Human life, but multiple individuals at once.

Curious, yet satisfied that he could feel someone’s presence, Tsuki reopened his eyes and slipped into the dune. How curious, he kept thinking, this Sensory skill is! His mind was a swim with the many different variations and uses he could think of for this, and so descended into the dune, mind a fury with thought. Tsuki then thought, he would need to be able to counteract any attempt to sensor him, so he then contemplated and came up with the solution, ‘the Chakra Suppression Technique.’ The young Uzumaki would finally find his calm but it wouldn’t last long.

Now Tsuki refocused on his breathing. His body would not be in a high tense state. He would not have to worry about any outside influences as his mind once again calmed down. Thus he would breath in slowly, and with certain ease. He would take in the warm relaxing desert steam within the dune and hold it for a very short period before he would exhale. He could feel his lungs depress as the carbon dioxide would escape. He could feel his body start to get back into enjoying this wonderful environment. Finally he could tell his mind was not stuck over the worry of not succeeding in his training...

The young Uzumaki knew that he will have to keep covert in front of a stronger shinobi. He took a slow easy quiet deep breath in. Then a slow exhale of that deep breath. But suppressing his chakra felt shaky for Tsuki. The anxiety was mounting, and not even the wind blowing through the desert sand could be heard. Then he heard a something like a dry leaf cracking, and he held his breath. This of course too focus more on some stomach muscles and in turn the point in his belly that could have used some of his chakra. The body naturally uses chakra when it works its own muscles. A small bit of chakra but chakra none the less, and that was working against his chakra suppression. So Tsuki focused on those hidden variables first.

About 20 minutes had passed with the young Uzumaki in his meditative state, he could feel his chakra calming. It was no longer flaring wildly and chaotically. However, the moment he felt his chakra picking up, he would open his eyes, then activity slowly picked back up on suppressing his chakra. Consciousness brought about corruption to the still mind, bringing ripples to the chakra points, reflecting all the inner turmoil and conflict. Spurred on by this, he began hastily pulling back on the chakra, trying to force it’s still ness in urgency. But it’s like the chakra absorbed this feeling and rebelled. It was… upsetting, frustrating, above all else… interesting. As Tsuki Uzumaki, Sunagakres Red Flash, the well reputable Genin and future anbu member, this sort of task should have been easy, but…

First came halting the flow of active chakra, as he couldn’t use chakra for anything that wasn’t naturally subconscious. After halting the flow of his chakra, the process could begin a new. With his chakra flow being suppressed, he began pulling on his chakra, trying to draw it back into himself. Calmly and slowly, he would draw it closer the force it to stop emanating from his body. The process was proportionally ten-fold less than his effort at minimizing it, but that’s not to say there was no progress. It was just a feeling, and not one that he could prove or disprove on his own, but he could feel his aura shrinking down some, dying out and fading lower like a dying candle light. Like a dying candle however, it was a very gradual thing he couldn’t consciously measure due to the time constraints.

Ever since the Chakra Suppression was activated within the young Uzumaki, if he were to lose focus for just a moment on his suppression, he would light up like a small sun as his chakra will overflow his network. He needed more discipline. After a few hours of concentration, hard work, and the look and feel of determination, it was done. The chakra fully and entirely suppressed and the ability to enter into a suppression state by his own free will was done, the deed, finished. The suppression took longer than he thought, but in the end, it left a smile on his face, a smirk. He walked into this training as a non sensor, he walked out of it with an entirely knew ability. After all this training, all this mental fighting, all these fears he fought, he was finally able to complete missions competently. He was proud of himself and his own accomplishment, showing it proudly with a big smirk on his face. The look of determination became the look of power, the seriousness of his face became happiness, his concentration turned into mental accomplishment and joy. He had finally done it, he had finally broke through the apex, and is able to pass through the shinobi world with confidence.

The young Uzumaki gathered his things, and got ready to leave the training ground. Still early in the day, Tsuki thought the best course of action might just very well be getting a job. Completing a solo mission because he has no team was absolutely necessary since he would like to gain more experience with being a shinobi. Tsuki determined, thought well and hard about the two techniques now learned, the Chakra Sensing Technique and the Chakra Suppression Technique. If nothing else, these two techniques should make secret operation more accomplishable. Tsuki has never thought about his future, but today he has decided to make ANBU black ops a stop in his journey. Remembering with the dean within the academy said, he had connections, and the Flying Thunder God ability is a jutsu in which the village government definitely has some utility.

While walking out of the training grounds, Tsuki wished to not come back here until he learns more and hopefully even becomes a chunin. After training here since he began his journey as a shinobi, Tsuki thought a change of environment might be nice and he invested into a dojo to be built under his name. From now on, Tsuki will be training within that dojo. Tsuki realizing that he could’ve used his flying raijin to teleport home, decided to walk one last time. The young shinobi, although still a child is already feeling like he is making a change for sunagakure no sato. He doesn’t know what that change might be, since he isn’t a fortune teller, but the young Uzumaki does know that he wants to fight to protect the sand that he and his impoverished villagers walk on.
